XF 201: Day 61, 3x12 War of the Coprophages

Scully's quiet night home is a thing of beauty. She is the type of woman who eats ice cream straight out of the carton while researching man-eating bugs for her crackpot partner. Who sleeps with the phone in her hand because she knows he needs her. Who doesn't let candy go to waste, even in the middle of a riot. We should all bow down in worship of Scully.

Love Ivanov's proposal that aliens visiting earth in the flesh is preposterous, because robotic probes make so much more sense. After all, it's precisely what we're doing when we send probes to Mars. This is another instance in which I wish the show hadn't been so heavy on the aliens, because that is a really fun idea I wish they had taken the time to explore.

By the time there's another invasion of artificially-intelligent, dung-eating robotic probes from outer space, maybe their uber-children will have devised a way to save our planet.

Again, we all need to bow down in worship of Scully.

I could list a million more things I love about this episode. It's just so good. It's a shame Darin Morgan only wrote a handful of episodes, because each one is a gem. I'm super stoked he's writing one for the new miniseries!
