Mediocre episodes always seem so much worse when they come on the heels of really great ones, and Teso dos Bichos suffers all the more coming after a powerhouse and fan favorite like Pusher. It's just. so. boring. The episode doesn't give us a real reason to give a shit about any of the people involved, Mulder and Scully seem bored by the whole thing, and the big villain is... a bunch of kitties. Great. Totally did not buy that M&S were in any danger whatsoever (because fluffy wuffy kittumses!) so even the supposedly "tense" escape from the sewer felt like no big deal at all. You're fucking adults, Agents, stop running from cats.
Rats in the toilet were really gross, though, so that was a plus.
