I'm doing a rewatch of Farscape and it struck me that there is some pretty in-your-face color symbolism.
Red - anger Examples: Jool, Sikozu, Peacekeepers, Talyn, D'Argo, Scorpius's cooling rods when they overheat, Delvian eyes after going "insane"
Black - power and agency Examples: Scorpius, Peacekeepers, Aeryn, Crichton once they put him in a Peacekeeper trenchcoat and he starts kicking more butt.
Blue - peace and harmony Examples: Pilot, Zhaan, shots of the ocean, fresh cooling rods for Scorpius's brain.
Colors that I'm not sure about:
White (deception maybe?), brown, yellow, green

I wanna re-watch some tonight, looking for ideas for what to watch
Oh, look, another vengeful spirit episode. Except twist the guy is still alive. So it's sort of like Excelsus Dei meets Shadows.
The scene with Stans jumping in the boiling tub is pretty horrifying, and the amputee effects on Rappo were well done. I also liked just how little shit Scully was willing to put up with; it doesn't come up much, but she was raised a Navy brat, so she knows how these people operate and how to get around or through their blocks.
This feels more or less like a by-the-numbers casefile, but it's nothing all that special IMHO. I found it hard to root for any of the characters involved, and it feels like none of the characters really care that much either. Callahan really takes the deaths of his aid, son, and wife in stride, almost to the point where he seems to forget they actually died. And the climax is... well, anticlimactic. "Mulder and Callahan in danger" felt very forced, and Stans smothering Rappo with the pillow was so quiet and gentle that it just fell flat to me.
Hopefully the Ferengi don't look green this time.
I'm on S4 (again) and it just dawned on me I'd love to just melt into Bobby's library of all those books. Being an introvert and avid reader, I'd just be in heaven.

I just finished season one, I haven't watched this show since it originally aired. I've always been apprehensive about returning to it, out of fear that it wouldn't live up to my memories of it. I'm happy to say that so far it's better than I remember, I feel that being as young as I was the first time I missed a lot that I'm only now picking up on. Just wanted to express my excitement at rediscovering a favorite show of my youth, and realizing it's better than I remembered!
