So, every episode there is a new case, and Mulder is called in with Scully, who doesn't believe in anything paranormal. She's a skeptic, I get that... But why even have an x-files unit if no one believes it? And if there is some kind of gov't conspiracy to cover up these findings, why allow the FBI to have this unit? If there is some big spoiler I am missing that will answer these questions, then you don't have to answer, but I am trying to picture a viewer circa 1994 watching this show and having no idea what the point of the show is. Every episode Mulder and Scully simply contradict each other, and the episode ends, and the same thing happens next episode. It's kind of frustrating...
