I just finished watching Juggernaut, the episode where the Voyager crew have to neutralize a malon freighter that will blow up and destroy a huge section of space (radius of 3 light years, I believe).
The last time the Malon were encountered, it was before VOyager stole the trans warp coil from the Borg and "took 10 years off their journey". Are you telling me the Malon take up a region of space larger than 10 years of high warp travel? How is that possible? If they are such a large society, how much waste could they put on a garbage scow that would warrant taking 10 years or more to deliver?
Furthermore, when Kes left the ship, Janeway said they were pushed ahead out of Borg space. Well, why do we still see so many Borg? Some of have suggested that "Borg Space" refers to an area where the population is 100% borg, rather than small pockets of Borg.
In general, I'm trying to figure out how these Delta Quadrant species seem to occupy such massive areas.
