And I loved it. I'm jealous of all of you who grew up with the series, because it's taken me 26 years to find it. I'm so glad I did. But, and this might just be post-series-sadness, did anyone else feel a little... ripped off by the finale? After all they'd been through, Xena and Gabrielle got barely any screen time together, and then we're left with (#x "knowing that Gabrielle is going to have to deal with her pain and loss and live the rest of her life (presumably) alone"). I didn't think that was very fair... And also I missed ...! (um I just realised that is a spoiler, but I'm new to reddit so not sure how to blank it out. I guess if you've seen it you'll know who I'm talking about). I didn't think I would, but there was definitely a notable absence without them there. But like I said, I might just be overly emotional given I literally finished the last episode 10 minutes ago, lol.
As a random side note, I went to primary school with Lucy Lawless' daughter, and have been to most of the beaches featured in the series. I'm tempted to head out there this weekend just to see them through new eyes. :-)
