I can see why Firefly first got cancelled, but what I don't understand is why they don't consider a reboot...

When Firefly first aired in 2002, people was bored of Sci-Fi after so many years of Star Trek, Babylon, etc. Even Stargate had a rough start and would've died if it wouldn't have changed publisher.

But Sci-Fi is growing popular again after pretty much every space Sci-Fi ended. Stargate Atlantis got cancelled because of the flop that was Universe, so there's pretty much no competitor to steal the fame anymore.

Firefly was so amazing, and I'm pretty sure that I will cry tomorrow when I watch the movie because then I know that I will never see a show like this again.

If you think that it's late for a reboot at this point, Prison Break just got confirmed to get two reboot seasons in 2016 (might be delayed to 2017, they really shouldn't rush the reboot since that's what killed the original), so it definitely isn't too late for Firefly to get a reboot aswell.

Hell, even Stargate (the movie from 94) will get reboots of three movies in a few years.
