I love that scene in Mulder's apartment. Skinner's first reaction is that Mulder and Scully have been playing a joke on him, because I guess this is the kind of thing they like to do on slow work days: convince him one of them is dead, then SURPRISE! Scully is so shocked and happy to see Mulder alive that she cannot take her eyes off him, despite her very armed and very angry boss just a couple feet away. And Mulder... Mulder comes bursting into his own apartment with his gun drawn, as if this is the kind of scene he's totally used to coming home to. NBD, just another Tuesday...
Skinner's line "This is where you pucker up and kiss my ass" is just amazing. Is his middle name BAMF? Because it should definitely be BAMF. It's so nice to see CSM taken down a couple pegs, first with failing to assassinate Krycek and then being bested by Skinner and the old school Navajo network.
Mulder and Scully have now both lost sisters to the cause. Samantha Mulder and Melissa Scully. SM and MS. One wonders if the writers did that on purpose.
